The NGO Sky Art Foundation announced a new project – “Diving” by Beata Korn and Viktor Melnychuk. The exhibition took place on December 14-28 at Kyiv art space “CeHlynaArt” (Naberezhno-Luhova str., 2-В)
The project showcases glass-blown and ceramic objects created by the authors over the last year. Lit by LED lights, their works are shaped as fanciful scary creatures of the underwater kingdom.
“The diving into the underwater world makes the impression of isolation and calm. As the time freezes, your eyes start noticing new fragments. Simultaneously, you immerse into distant depths of your own inner world and space, with no firm ground under your feet. You are introduced to a new beat of forms and senses,” – shares Viktor Melnychuk.
According to Dmytro Palienko, the founder of Sky Art Foundation, the authors managed to create art objects that will be interesting to both art experts and designers. „I have been diving for many years; therefore I am fascinated with underwater world. While discussing the concept of the future exhibition with Viktor and Beata, I suggested that they depict the beauty and grace of seas and oceans. It turned out that this topic was quite attractive for the authors, too, – says Dmytro Palienko.
The exhibition is organized by the NGO Sky Art Foundation.
