Ukrainian participant of Mural Social Club Festival Roma Wius, aka Wius, had created an abstraction in Kyiv, Geroyiv Staligradu str. 22. He decorated three walls of the building with his piece.
“My work has no specific name or figurative image. It is an abstract composition where I’ve tried to show the diversity of colors and forms. My main goal is to “ignite” the wall. I wanted to show the people that their (sometimes grey) life has many colors and shades. And the only thing they need to do is to pay attention to colorful details”, says the artist.
Wius was born in 1991 in the city of Nova Kakhovka, Southern Ukraine. His career started in mid-2009, when became interested in graffiti, being fully inspired by the magazine pictures and photos of murals on the Internet. He took part in various festivals and jams in Ukraine and Russia (New Kakhovka, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Yalta, Donetsk, Kyiv, St. Petersburg). Wius is also being interested in abstraction and painting on canvas.
